IRS rules

Gold in an IRA comes with specific asset and custody rules.

The IRS generally treats metals and coins as collectibles but provides exceptions for specified coins and qualifying bullion. The IRS also says qualifying bullion must be in the physical possession of a bank or approved nonbank trustee.

Noble Gold: start with published costs, then verify the full economics.

Noble Gold currently publishes an $80 one-time setup fee and a $275 annual total for its Gold IRA, described as $125 for custodial services and $150 for segregated storage. Dealer spreads and product pricing still need to be compared separately, and all terms should be rechecked before funding.
